• Separate the data between good geocodes and bad ones
• Place good geocodes into census tract
• Run the bad geocodes through the google API to get latitude and longitude. Placed incidents into census tract.
  • Did not geo code those that were an intersection as google API does not recognize intersections. (652 incidents)
  • Of the non-intersection, bad coordinates data, 51 were not able to be geocoded (i.e. interstate address)
• Created new variable on if crime was property or violent based on offence
